Blends/digraphs Word Check with One-Syllable Words

From Colleen Creager, admin, at Saratoga Springs City SD:

Our district is in year 2 of ARC implementation and I'm really liking it. Thanks for your work in keeping it great!

I have a suggestion. I love how you have a checklist for initial blends/digraphs in isolation. I was wondering if you could create checklists (under the same area that blends/digraphs is in) that have blends/digraphs within a one-syllable word. It's great if they know these sounds in isolation, and it's a different skill if they know the sound within a word.

For example: chat, thin, bath, shop. I'd love for it to have a few different "forms" so that the same words are not tested regularly. Maybe a list of 5-10 words and we can see how many out of 10 the child reads correctly. We would click the green check to have the student read "blends/digraphs within words Form #1". And then we'd hit that skill hard in our conferencing/small groups. Then a week later, we'd do "blends/digraphs within words Form #2".

In addition, I'd love to see this same idea rolled out with other power goals. For example, 1B zone 1 words. A checklist of 5-10 words that have the "am", "all", "an" "and" word families. etc.

Checklist for 1B zone 2: magic e and vowel team checklists (with different forms so the same words are not repeated for assessment purposes).
