We would like to see more overall comprehension goals that are considered high leverage and earn points... ie: under white the literature standards there is a power goal for using evidence to give main idea and key details. We have two specific students stuck in 2R who do not need any phonics work (accuracy wise they read beautifully) but they need hardcore comprehension work. So while we will meet with these students and work at their level, their power goal does not directly correlate to what THEY need.
