Because, “there will always be more good ideas than there is capacity to execute,” (The 4 Disciplines of Execution), at ARC we work collaboratively across divisions to refine/revise/re-prioritize the Product Development plan to meet the needs of our customers.


We are experimenting with this forum as a space for ARC teammates to share ideas.


Create a Conference Schedule

Teachers would love a tool that takes their students IRLA/ENIL levels, Power Goals and suggests an equitable conference schedule for them.  Or could allow them a space to build their conference schedule within SchoolPace (e.g., an intuitive, moveable status of the class that the teacher could reorganize based on need and meeting time).

 

Another extention is that if your conference schedule were housed in SchoolPace, the teacher could click on the conference/small group and be instantly connected to the student's individual IRLA, or if meeting with a small group, it would take you to 'report data for multiple students'.

    From Katie Maher at Chapel Hill - not quit a conference schedule but requestin the ability to put students into groups:
    It would be incredibly helpful if I could set up groups of kids within Schoolpace (even across classrooms). Then, in order to enter data during a small group lesson, I could just click on the group name to automatically have all of the kids on one screen. Then, it would be great if I could select all of the goals we were working on that day in order to quickly enter data for each kid and each goal. This would save me HOURS of time every week. Or even if I could select which toolkit lesson I'm working on and it would automatically pull up all of the standards that it addresses.

    Just adding I've seen this request in the past and just received this request again from Jeffrey Albright at Lebanon (PA):
    Through the ARC rollout in our district (2nd year now), we've been dealing with teachers creating conference schedules. Currently, the best thing SchoolPace offers is the IRLA Organizer. Is there a way to develop a tool that helps to create a conference schedule based on the information that the Organizer provides? I could see teachers being able to select or drag names into weekly schedules that would help shape their conference schedules and not having to just write/type out what's already recorded in the Organizer to a separate source for planning purposes. Teachers can use the information currently but can't manipulate the names into a weekly schedule.

    While we may need more info to implement all of these ideas, a feature on the path to this, is the Drag and Drop Status of the Class .
